Our Methodology
The Capacity Cycle™ — our organizational performance method
The same five-stage method applies to managers and frontline employees, calibrated for each role: measure the baseline, name the specific load, intervene, build capacity, then re-measure at 90 days and report it to your executive team.

The Cycle, at a glance
Five stages, one measured loop.
Move through the cycle to see what happens at each stage — from the first baseline measurement to the 90-day re-measurement. Every OHA engagement runs this exact sequence.
- Diagnose
Every engagement opens with a measured baseline of the participating managers or frontline employees — capacity, workload, retention risk — so there is a number to compare against 90 days later. No hypothesis, no assumption, no generic survey.
What we actually do
- Capacity baseline assessment for the participating cohort
- Leadership and stakeholder interviews
- Retention and absence risk signals mapped by team

Diagnose, intervene, prove it held.
The five stages group into three phases. It's the simplest way to hold the whole method in your head.
Diagnose
Measure the baseline, then name the specific load draining the participating manager or frontline cohort. You start with a number — not a guess.
Intervene
Act on the load we measured, inside the workweek — not at an offsite that fades. Each cohort gets protocols calibrated to the realities of its role.
Prove it held
Build capacity above the baseline, then re-measure at 90 days and report the result to your executive team.
Principles
What the Cycle assumes.
Diagnose before prescribing
No program begins without data. We measure capacity, stress load and risk first, then scope the work.
Recovery precedes capability
People under sustained load cannot absorb new skills. Baseline capacity is restored before anything is built on top of it.
Embedded, not eventful
Change holds when it lives in operating rhythms — not in an offsite that fades within a quarter.
Measured on outcomes
Attendance is not a result. We report on retention, capacity and performance signals to the executive team.
Where It Runs
One method, two depths of deployment.
Run with managers or frontline employees as a diagnostic and cohort program: baseline, load diagnosis, intervention inside the workweek, 90-day re-measurement, executive debrief.
Run as a standing annual partnership: the same five stages cycling across leadership, management and frontline teams, with quarterly measurement reported to the executive team.
